It won't matter functionally. If you get it on UPlay, you launch it there and can adda a shortcut on Steam to launch from Steam if you want. If you get it on Steam, Steam will launch UPlay when you launch the game anyway.

When in doubt always buy on the platform that requires the least amount of launchers.

A lot of ubisoft games require their launcher even if you buy the game on steam and there has been technical issues using both at once in many games over just ubisoft directly.

Unless there is a major price difference it's usually not worth it.

If GAME A is available on Steam and Ubisoft, but it's published by Ubisoft, buying it on Steam gives the perks of having it on your steam account, but each time you play it, it will also launch the Ubi Connect app.

If GAME B is available on Steam and ANOTHER PLATFORM, but if you buy it on steam, when you launch it, nothing else gets triggered to launch also, Buy it on steam.
