backup steam deck sdcard

so my steam deck has an issue so it’s getting sent to steam to get repaired, & i was told to back up my games. most of my games are on a micro sdcard, & i was wondering how to back them up onto my macbook? i just wanna make sure when i get it back & put the sdcard in all my games are still saved.

Just leave them on the sd card since the sd card is staying with you. They will stay safe on the sd card just put it in a safe place so it don't get lost.

Nope sd cards are good at retaining information. The information on a sd card will last up to 10 years. But since it won't take that long to fix your steam deck you will be fine with leaving them on the sd card. I have files still on my micro sd card from my old phone from 4 years ago and it still works just never formatted it yet cause of family pics still on the card.
