Otherwise, consider that drive faulty.
Steam requires the acf or appmanifest files in Steamapps to show steam games are installed. If they are removed then Steam will nolonger see your games as installed.
Check in the downloader manager is the drive listed there?
Restart Steam insure drive is connected properly before logging back into Steam.
If the link from Steam to USB drive is lost the library could cause this.
Reconnect the USB drive.
Rightclick the games missing in library and verify game files.
Just to get this straight, are you using Steam to check whether the driver is there, or Windows?
So, the PC isn't reading/mounting/showing the D drive when you plug it in, and it's not listed in My Computer?
#10 I physically removed the ssd line and reconnected it just to see if it will appear but didnt work
