cannot add a new drive for storage
I go to settings then storage and click on the + for a a new drive path but when I select the folder it does nothing, if I make a folder called "Steam" or "Steam Library" it creates a steamapps folder inside it then it does absolutely nothing, and I only have my C drive, I'm just trying to move my games out of the program files path

The client only allows one library per drive.

You could manually add the new storage location, some instructions here:

An alternative I've seen some suggest is to create a symbolic link between the desired games folder and the default path.
