Whats support like for the Playstation Access Controller?

I've been playing Deadlock and for a standard xbox/playstation controller theres not enough buttons for the game. Theres workaround controller configs where you can double tap a button for a different button binding. It works but its not ideal like a keyboard. The Steam Deck is like the only "controller" I have that has enough buttons.

Pairing two of the Playstation Access Controllers seem like it would provide enough buttons for this game, Foot pedals and pads can also be hooked up to them[

It would be cool to have a Playstation Access Controller and mouse setup, so you could have analogue movement and mouse aiming at the same time. I use an "mmo style" mouse with a numpad on the side, that provides enough buttons through one controller and the "mmo style" mouse. From a glance I like the ergonomics of keeping your hands open while using it

What is the support like for the Playstation Access Controller?
I've seen a comment in a discussion saying theres needs to be driver support
I've also seen a video where someone uses a program, Joy2Key,for the controller, but they need a PS5 to setup the inital controller config before using it on PC. The Playstation Access Controller also needs to be plugged in before you turn on your PC to use it.

For people that own the Playstation Access Controller, whats your experience like with it, has it improved?

By default the controller only has 3 buttons usable when it comes out of the box.

There is no official software support at this time
