Coworker wants to add me as friend
Coworker wants me to help him in MH World, but I don't even know their screen name. What should I send them in a text message for them to add me to their friend list, and where do I find it? I assume my screen name isn't enough.

ignore

At the top click on your name and then on "Friends"
Select "Add a Friend" and at the top it will show you a number, your "friendcode".
Give that to your Co-worker and he can add you with the friendcode directly.
OR just give him a link to your Steam profile and he can invite you as a friend that way.

Thanks. Man, I wish Steam had gone the Playstation "User name" route instead of the Nintendo "friend code route". MUCH easier.

It kind of does, there's something called "Vanity URLs" on steam, which act in a sense similar to usernames, people have to have a unique one, and it allows you to search for the user. For example my one is UmiF, and it's great since it shortens your profile URL as well.

I like the idea of having a display name you can freely change around without any commitment though

Hmm...yeah, I can see the appeal of that.
