Game Recording

... talks about how to turn on game recording. Where to find it in the settings, and how to activate it in the overlay. I can find none of that. Has it all been removed? Or moved elsewhere, and they haven't updated that page? What am I missing?

How do I turn it on?
In the Steam Client go to Steam > Settings > Game Recording (or while playing a game, open the Overlay and then the Game Recording tab at the bottom of the screen.)

You can select from Off/Don't record, Record in Background (which will record anytime you play games), and Record on Demand (which will record only when you turn it on.) There are settings available to make sure your recordings don't fill up your hard drive, plus audio settings, shortcut keys, and more.

Yep, that's what that page I linked says. Why did you paste it here?

As I said in my post there is no "Game Recording" item in the settings for me. And no "Game Recording" tab in the overlay.

Are you on the Steam Beta client?

Just Steam as far as I know. It's on a Rog Ally X; pretty sure it's regular Steam.

You need to enable Steam beta first and then restart the client.

Okay, none of this is relevant to what I said. Which was that the page I linked to says nothing about it being in beta. And that's the page you find if you google for this stuff. So that page *should have* the fact it's in beta only in there somewhere.

I'm not sure what y'all think you're responding to, but it's not responding to me. So... weird. ;/
