Game Opens on Wrong Monitor

I play on laptop with a monitor and use dual screen. However, for some reason the game keeps opening on the laptop screen rather than my monitor and I can't find any option to switch to the other screen. Also, I tried doing windows, shift, and right/left key but the resolution was stretched out on my monitor. In case it's important, the game I'm trying to play is Terraria.

Games generally render on the primary screen. What's your primary screen?

disable laptop screen when gaming.....you could also make it the primary in windows settings by right clicking the open desktop and going to display settings.....you need to make the monitor say 1 and not 2
