Steam Notes App Malfunctioning

I use the notes app in the overlay often, especially with puzzle games.

Lately for the last couple of months the app has stopped recording what I've typed. I'll write down some notes, then I'll start a new tab and write more; and then I'll check to see that the previous tab's text has disappeared. Almost all my tabs have lost chunks of text.

I thought this was in part due to my internet chugging while I'm downloading a new game in the background. But I've since played games even without downloads running and my internet is clear, and I still lose my notes.

I'm pretty sure my Steam is up to date, but I'll double check to see if that fixes it.

Has anyone else had this happen?

If push comes to shove, I guess I could just ALT+TAB out and write my notes on a document.

Same thing happening to me. Notes keep disappearing.

This is why I use my phones note app to write stuff down for games.
