Need help with dual boot steam deck
I've been seaching on here for info on dual booting steam deck and most posts are old. Trying to setup dual boot on the internal 1t drive. I followed the steps on youtube video from mikethetech for dual booting and ran into some issues.

First issue I ran into was after using KDE partition manager to resize the drive and usb booting into windows to setup windows.

The windows partition manager would not let me install windows on that new partition. I could format it but not install windows. So, using the windows partition manager, I deleted the new partition and re-created it from within the windows partition manager. Then It let me install windows. (Not sure if this is where I messed up, as this was not part of the instructions. In the video he did not have to do this.)

Of course I ran into not being able to connect to wifi and do anything cause the drivers where not installed. but I worked around all that and had windows working great.

but when booting and holding down - the boot menu only had the windows boot manager as an option and the steam os was not there.

when using steam usb to boot the drive is there (so, I know I didn't accidently delete it) but It will not give me the option to boot using that drive.

Doing some research on here, I found a post that said to boot holding the + and use boot from file. This only booted to what looked like a prompt. but didn't look like I could type anything. There three different "boot from File" listed, so I tried them all and they did not work. The only working option was windows.

Now I have factory restored the steam deck. but I would like to dual boot windows. Has anyone successfully dual booted recently? All the posts I'm seeing are old but some recent posts say you cant use clover anymore and have to hold - key to switch boot. But that didn't work for me.

Thanks for any help.
