Steam Guard?

Totally confused. It says I have to have Steam Guard enabled for 15 days to make a trade. Well, I've had STEAM for about 3 weeks now and it still tells me I can't make a trade. Does that mean I have to give STEAM my personal phone number as well and enable THAT Steam Guard too?

Steam -> Settings -> Security
Turn on Steam Guard from there.

Steam Guard isn't sufficient to get rid of tradeholds -- as it says in the messages, you have to use the Authenticator app.

Email Steam Guard to trade at all but with 15 day holds for each trade.
Registered mobile authentificator on your phone to get trades without hold.

Account created October 2nd. That's not "about 3 weeks."

You also have a limited account. You can't initiate trades.

Why would my account be limited? What other gd verification and personal information does this thing want? I am not talking about a Trade Hold. I am talking about it says that I cannot trade at all.

More like an Antibot solution but I guess some people don't see the bigger picture.

They tried other solutions first, but they didn't work. That was back when it was normal to wait 5 or 6 weeks for Steam Support to reply to everyone's "Help, someone traded my items away" tickets due to the sheer number of them. But if anything inconvenient has to be a money grab, that's cool too.

I used STEAM before when it was fun, simple and not overly intrusive. I just want to play games as I have friends that gift them. I don't wish to give anymore personal data to anything online.
China just winds up with it. (ie TikTok)
