i was getting Anti Virus alert.. i have formatted my pc and also cleaned all drives and tried installing steam.
while updating the alert still pops up

Antivirus: QuickHeal
A Potentially unwanted application is blocked to protect your system.
Adware: Program,Wacapew
Location: c:\programfiles(x86)\steam\bin\drivers.exe


anybody else facing similar issue?

Yep had Windows Defender said that creating a server on Don’t Starve was a virus

I don't know what anti virus program you have but typically there are options to allow certain programs or apps that are false positives.

Alternatively you can disable your anti virus program while you update steam.

yea i wud whitelist it but just doubtful if its a false positive or not..

If it's from steam is 100% a false positive. Valve is a multi billion dollar company, they wouldn't allow for a game company large or small to upload virus software into there games. Your safe it's a false positive.
