Nintendo Switch Pro Controller Gyro
If I'm in the wrong place, I'm not sure where to place this but I'll try here:
I'm trying to get the Gyro to work for games and it has the option to use it as basically everything but the joysticks. What am I doing wrong? This is why I don't play Fortnite, fall guys, Overwatch and more on my PC cause I can't get the Gyro to work right or I resort to my PS4 controller, which is great and has better shoulder buttons but I really want to use my Pro controller cause the gyro.

Is there something I'm missing? I can get the gyro to work like it's supposed to but not in game. Help?

You aren't trying use your gyro as a joystick, are you?
That's not how you play shooting (or anything aiming-related, really) games. Instead, have the right joystick act as the mouse for coarse control & the gyro act as the mouse for fine control. That's the way people play shooters (including real ones, such as Overwatch) with their gyro-equopped gamepads.

Don't be that guy. If it has guns it has guns. Who cares. I don't play to play compete, I play to have fun. I use Gyro in Fortnite on Switch, and also Doom. Works nicely. I can aim better personally.

I don't play to compete either. In fact, the games you mentioned, I don't play mostly because I'm not into competitive shooters. I play a heap loads of coop and even more so, singleplayer campaigns.

Doesn't change the fact that there's huge difference in shooting between games. Fortnite got this model which I really learned to hate during my time with Borderlands which I call the "CoD model" because it, if not invented, but at least popularized this model: guns being ridiculously unprecise unless you ADS which then makes the guns magically precise (and provides certain target-snapping). With that model, gyro or not doesn't matter much as precision isn't exactly possible.

Even if you're playing a purely singleplayer campaing so please cut that crap about competing.

What I called "real shooters" are games which don't really assist with aiming (or do so in a less annoying way, Halo & Serious Sam 3 got a completely different model of gamepad aiming) but actually require it. Overwatch or, if we can stop talking about competative games, I'll pick Doom as an example.

A game doesn't have to be competative to require & reward good aim.

I don't play to compete, I play to have fun. But when a game got weird, unnatural or that CoD-like aiming, that's a detriment. Even without competing.

Do you believe me now that I am not in for being that overcompetative "taking everyone better than myself personally" kind of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, or do I have to iterate some more?

I don't divide games into "competative" vs "non-competative", but even with purely singleplayer games (of which I got-a-plenty in my library), there's a huge difference between aim-sensitive games and, well, not-so-much-aim-sensitive games. I know for a fact that Fornite falls into the latter category while Overwatch goes into the former.

Either way, as I already said, configure the right stick as a mouse, configure the gyro as a mouse and use the stick for coarse movements, the gyro for fine-adjustment. That's about the same it works on the Switch, so make it the same on the PC.

But please, PLEASE cut that competative crap! One does not need to be competative to apreciate nuanced gunplay (let's say in Killing Floor 2) over "it's action-based and works fine, unless you're into the finer details (see Payday 2) over "it's that CoD-style-♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ which doesn't make the tiniest sense, unless you know it was developed for gamepads first and foremost" (which I know from CoD's CAMPAIGN and Borderlands' CAMPAIGNS).

Do you have a car? You don't need to drive races to apreciate tirers that don't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ suck. Or do you literally not care about how crappy your car is because you aren't competing?

This doesn't remotely help my problem.

The following paragraph helps your problem:

No PC game supports separate gyro inputs. They support mouse input though. So

again, this doesn't help me solve my issue. I know it's possible cause I did it once before, I am trying to figure out how to get it as the camera control. Or it may've been the mouse settings.

So you want your right stick to turn the camera left/right/up/down, left stick for walking and gyro for fine-left/right/up/down?
I need it to act the same as it does on the switch.

Then map the right stick to mouse movements and the gyro to mouse movements. On the Switch, you're using the right stick for coarse movements, gyro for fine movements. That's the way it will work with that mouse mapping.
