Close steam to install the current flash version.
You might uninstall flash prior.

Same here, people. My flash is up to date, and works fine for any other applicaton that needs it. I also installed flash for other browsers. No go. As far as I'm concerned that means no buying from Steam either until this is solved.

(DITO!) yeah same BS here man, just went through all the so called "Solves" people put up went though about 3-5 of them and yeah nothing worked, confuses me why steam would do this, reminding me of the internet guys in south park (How much does it bum you out they ask while they rub their nipples and ♥♥♥♥)

I've done the update 3 times (once with explorer open, once pre closed explorer before install and once by downloading the update and installing with nothing else running) and i'm still unable to view vids on steam :-S

I had the same issue, after the latest Steam update, and this is what i did and worked:

1 - Go to http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/
2 - Select Windows 7 / Vista / 2008 / 2003 ( Or whatever it is your system )
3 - Select " Flash Player for other Browsers " <--- Make sure it's the " Other Browsers " option
4 - Untick Mcafee stuff ( or any other useless stuff )
5 - Download & Install
6 - Restart Steam
