Flash Player issue
So I can't play the trailers at all because it says I need to instal after I just restarted and updated Steam yesterday. I was too lazy and I thought it would go away but now it's kind of bothhering me. When I click on the link to go to flash player it is already updated to the max for my software. But then I go to battle.net and it's like an app for Blizzard and video games and if I want to play a video on it, it says I need to download some type of Flash Player. I don't know if that will effect the flash player I need for Steam and I don't have google chrome. Either way please help.

Is flash working in your browser, or are you only experiencing the problem in Steam?

I'm having this issue just on Steam sir. It says I need to instal the latest one but I already have it for Windows 8.1 64x bit.
Any clues?

Its a problem with the latest version of steam. You will not need to uninstall and reinstall Flash because if it was working before steam updated there will be no issue in the futre I hope :)

I have to 2 systems running steam and both have the same issue.

Try and view content in Big Picture Mode because flash player is working correctly for me there.
Also if flash is working on the web you flash player is working correctly..

Just be a little patiant and steam might do an update soon..
This has been an issue since the 9th. I have Win8.1 (64) and I run Chrome... BOTH carry the latest flash updates and I can run any flash apps I want... except Steam trailers.

This is a Steam issue and it's been broken for almost a week. One would think that Steam would be able to pull their heads out long enough to fix it, knowing that trailers sell games.

My flash player comes with Google. Also downloaded Flash Player for other networks and still I cannot view the video content in Steam?
its a problem with Steam App I updated the Flash player like it ask...

I can view the movies or trailers through the web site address of steam just not in the steam app itself.
take payday 2 trailers I can view them on IE or chrome through the web site but once I open the steam App go to payday 2 Error.

This just started today for me

this works but man talk about a pain to find a fix for not many will make the effort to look...

This 100% working:

1 - Go to http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/
2 - Select Windows 7 / Vista / 2008 / 2003 ( or whatever it is your system )
3 - Select " Flash Player for Other Browsers " <-- Make sure you choose "Other Browsers"
4 - Untick any bloatware that shows up ( McAfee, Chrome, etc )
5 - Download & Install
6 - Restart Steam

be sure that you choose point 2 (no matter that you have win 8 etc) and other browsers.

thx to Alf

Same problem here uninstall and reinstall flashplayer and uppdated it and still can't watch trailers.
Just got an email from Support... they told me to flush the steam configs, reboot and re-log into steam from the main .exe file....

Guess what...

Did not work.

Shouldnt' be necessary to go through all of that.
It works on big picture i can watch trailers
Same problem. Going to wait for Steam to fix instead of the workaround. Thanks to RF (and Alf) for the workaround, but installing Flash for Windows 7 on Windows 8.1 feels wrong.
Tried that twice didn't work for me

I am also having Flash issues "only" with Steam. Also when logging into steam via browser (such as when forced to when using the Help button on the Steam Browser) it is always forgetting my PC and I keep having to re-enter codes for access. I've also tried the "Other Version" install which failed to work. Tried the uninstall and re-install which didn't work. "Might" be Windows related, we have had all types of applications stopped working with last Windows update just the other day. (Windows 7 Prof)
