Adobe Flash Player Help

It wont let me see the pics and vids on steam, says I need the latest version of flash player but I already have it. Anyone else having this problem?

It seems to be a Steam client issue. However, you can go to the official flash download page[get.adobe.com] and install Flash player 14 for other browsers as a workaround.

For everyone posting about this problem, no one running windows 8.1 can fix this at all. I have been scouring the internet for hours and have not found a fix yet. On windows 8.1 Flash Player is literally intergrated into our OS and automatically updates itself. From what I've gathered on the internet, there is only a 32 bit version of this Flash Plugin and everyone running the 64 bit version is going to have to wait. I've also read that the 32 bit just runs automatically no matter what. This happened due to the recent update, so for now all we can do is hope that steam actually does something about this. Although it is a rather annoying problem, it's not that important.

Running 8.1 here and flash is working fine after I installed for other versions, so I don't you where you got the idea that no one running 8.1 can fix it from.

I couldnt buy a game or view videos. You guys have to use Big Picture. I couldnt see Any Farcry 2 videos and I couldnt buy the game. I can now. Big Picture Works.

It won't let me install anything, it says i already have the latest version and when i try to "Download for other versions" it just does nothing. Almost as though the download cancels.

And now all of the sudden. My flash player worrks again... what the hell steam. I didn't download anything, didn't do anything different just works all of the sudden. Restarting steam and my Laptop didn't even work.

This 100% working:


1 - Go to http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/
2 - Select Windows 7 / Vista / 2008 / 2003 ( or whatever it is your system )
3 - Select " Flash Player for Other Browsers " <-- Make sure you choose "Other Browsers"
4 - Untick any bloatware that shows up ( McAfee, Chrome, etc )
5 - Download & Install
6 - Restart Steam


be sure that you choose point 2 (no matter that you have win 8 etc) and other browsers.
