It's foolish to not want them though. It's free items that the community places value on. Take little to no effort to sell them and then use the funds to purchase things you really want. Or trading them for things you do want.
Now put up the desired trading card(s), click on the tick box that should be below the trading cards you placed up, wait untill your friend ticks that box too, then press on the big green button that says "Make Trade" (should be below your trading slots and partner's).
That doesn't make any sense.
If you don't want to trade them, then ignore them.

For myself, I even have a group for the sole purpose of having a non-public "discussion" with a trade link for my account. So, accounts that I don't need on my "friend list" can be part of the group and get access to that "discussion".
In a similar fashion, if your friends inventory is not accessible for you, you could just send him your trade link and tell him to grab your cards. Counteroffeers probably work too -- so telling him to make you any offer and you'll just counter it with the proper one should work too.
