GTA IV retail product key unvalid on SteamH
Hey guys, I bought GTA IV (and I think there are also the Liberty City Stories) many years ago (maybe in 2008 when the game appeared). I have the game installed but I'd like to add it to my "library game" in Steam. Unfortunally the serial is wrong: I have the serial on the box of the CD, a retail product key, but Steam doesen't recognize it (The characters of the serial are different to Steam's standard keys). So, have I chanches to add GTA IV on Steam or is it impossible? Can I do something?

That serial belongs to GFWL. Use it there, then you add the game to Steam and thats it

It is not a "Steam" game. U bought it retail box, that means u can only use the CDKEY on GFWL.

What is it about this u do not get?

Yeah, with GFWL being dead and all, it *feels* like GTA goes on -80% sale every few days...
