Steam CMD Crash and games.
Hi i hope someone can reply to this. Not sure if this is the right section.

When i start to download a game its like my machine turns off. However i think the machine is still on and it changes my network settings for some reason. However if i restart the machine it will become normal again i can access it.

Has anyone seen this before?

Are you running the full GUI server or the CMD-only server?

First of all, how do you tell it is off? Does the screen go black?

I was told by the datacenter that the machine does not turn off. He said something about it messes with the network or some sort and thats why i loose rdp access. However on restart i am able to acess it again.

Looks like SteamCMD is using more bandwidth than your datacenter gives. It doesn't turn off.

Bandwidth!=traffic volume. The one is "How fast", the other is "How much".

Any way to fix this issue?

Limit the bandwidth usage from SteamCMD somehow. Or talk to whoever you rented the server from and explain them the situation and work out a solution with them.

the host said Please provide an MTR of roughly 100 packets so we can check for packet loss along the network route. how can this be done?

No idea what an MTR is. As for the packet loss, start a ping loop.

Did that they said it would not be the bandwidth as i have 0% loss on 200 tests.
