Gamepad keeps Disconnecting.

I own a Xbox Wireless Controller.Ok so today i was playing contagion local coop with someone. I was playing for hours then decided to play LEGO Marvel Super Hereos. When i started playing my Xbox Wireless Controller randomly disconnected/turned off a dozen times, at which point i gave up and went to look for a solution. This wasn't the first time this happened either which makes me doubt it was the batteries because yesterday i tried playing Sleeping Dogs and the same problem kept happening. I tried unplugging the reciever from the back of the computer which was recommended and plugging it in the front, that didn't help either. So im wondering if anyone has had a similiar problem and is there any solution? i tried googling it but all of the results are for the xbox console not for pc

TL;DR Xbox wireless controller constantly disconnects on certain games, solutions?
