Lol you need to expand your horizon and catch up with the current times. Yes, the Xbox360 used DVDs but it only took 2 discs max with usually the main game on one disc and all the DLCs on the other. PS3 on the other hand could easily fit Skyrim and all it's DLCs into one single blu ray disc. But sorry to ruin your mojo because both Xbox1 and PS4 are now using a new type of blu ray disc that can store up to 300gb data. And oh, did you forget that these consoles also got HDDs inside them? smh.
But to relate with the question, I have to agree that discs are still important. You don't have to wait for hours for it download (unless there are patches). Just pop in the disc, install the game for like 5 min and play the game. voila! and oh, I still do love physical boxes and manuals. It makes you appreciate the game more as part of your collection. Also, people need to get off their fast-internet bias bandwagon because not everyone is fortunate enough to have one.
