NEED HELP: I can't install anything including steam due to administrator restrictions!
I have been unfortunate enough to have broken my gaming laptop so I have to use my school laptop. It's not very good but there are some games in my library that I know I will be able to play. The problem is my catholic school has put an extreme amount of restrictions on it, I can't install any games or install steam. I have got my brother to install it to a folder on his laptop, give it to me, then see if it would open but I can't even do that! It tells me "The operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer...etc" They have blocked cmd as well as all that. If there is anyone that can help me please do, I am losing my mind trying to fix this.

You'll probably have to talk to your school's computer administrator.

Like what he/she said - talk to your computer administrator. If that doesn't work, you could probably find a way to bypass the message "The operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer".
Bypassing
By bypassing this it may meen you may need to download somesort of hack, but then again that message would still probably pop up if you tried to download that. If you have Windows, what version of it is it? If it is an older version you may be able to find a glitch that bypasses the effect.
Talk to your parent(s) or/and gaurdian(s)
If talking to your computers administrator idea fails - get you parent(s) or/and gaurdian(s) to talk to them so they can explain the story.

Please note, if you do bypass the restrictions, you may be in trouble with your school -- they did not want games / etc. installed on the laptop.

Right, but they wouldn't know unless he started to play the games that went against the school restrictions. He would just bring his laptop home and play those games then.

Some schools include programs that send active updates on how the computer is used.

Oh ok. So if that - forget bypassing and talk to an administrator.

Alright, thanks so much for the help guys. I'll just have to wait until I can afford a new pc, I don't want to risk getting into anymore trouble :P :bandit:
