Playing two different games at the same time on two different computers?
I own the game Football Manager 2013 and I own the game Cities in Motion 2. Why can’t I play both games at the same time, one on my stationary and one on my lap top? Both are slow games with a lot of “waiting” making it perfect to have another game going at the same time.

I can understand that I can’t play the same game at two different computers at the same time since I only own one copy of it. But why can’t I play two different games at the same time? I have paid for them?

I like the basic idea of Steam, but if it won’t allow me to play the games that I own it will be a lot less likely that I will buy more games through Steam in the future.

Maybe because normally you wouldn't be able to play 2 games on 2 different PCs at once?
Also people would abuse the hell out of it. Just look at "family" sharing.

You can only play games on one device at a time. That's the way it is.

It's to stop people from "sharing" accounts across multiple computers.

You can play two games on the same computer at the same time though. You can play as many games as you want on the same computer.

Why wouldnt I? I used to to that a lot back in the days when games came on CD/DVD? As for an example, I always had a single player game of Football manager running on my lap top at the same time as I was playing a multiplayer game of Civlization 4 against some friends, to have something to do during does 2-5 min of waiting time while they doing their turns.

Oh they are using collective punishment, I can see why they are doing it, it's not a fair fix, but it's an easy fix. Makes me a sad panda.

You can try running one of them in offline mode.

Thanks for the advice, but it's it ok by Steam? I don't wan't to break any rules that might get me in trouble.
