Videos Never Play in Big Picture Mode

In the Store, vidoes never play in Big Picture mode. They just load infinitely. Anyone have an idea what could be causing this? They play fine in desktop mode.

For a bunch of game store pages?
Or just a certain one?

I know on Payday2 Store Page for example, there is a video there (4th one from the left) and it just stays black, doesn't buffer or play, etc. As if the video no longer exists, but still has a place-holder for.

If you are seeing the video buffer, try actually clicking on it while in BPM, or pressing a gamepad button to bring that video into focus.

Thanks for the reply.

None of the videos play, for any game in the store. They just buffer forever.

I've tried clicking on them, and hitting "A" on the gamepad to bring it into focus. I'll even scroll through the screenshots and come back to the vid and it still won't play. I wonder if maybe it's a codec issue...

I have this issue also with most videos on the store page. Broken in BPM, but same video works instantly in desktop mode.

Trailer TV is also tempramental in whether or not it'll play.

I have this problem with most videos in Big Picture Mode, although a few of them occasionally work. In case it helps the developers find the problem, I can see the three-segment "buffering" animation, but the lights on my modem aren't blinking nearly enough for it to actually be buffering a video.

I just wanted to ring in that videos do not play for me either in big picture mode. Exit to desktop mode and they play perfectly on the same PC.

June 2016. I'm still having this same problem. Videos play approx 10% of the time in Big Picture. Play 99% of the time in standard desktop client.

I can't understand why making the $tore work properly wouldn't be a top priority.

Mine either and buffering issues in desktop full screen. Why? All the support posts say is that its new and you may experience performance problems. Also, not all of my wishlist shows up in Big Picture Mode, and there is no support section there either. You Tube works though, I'm not complaining, I only paid 150 bucks as opposed to 500 for an xbox one.

No videos play for me in BPM, no buffering either. I can see the play button in the middle but clicking it does not seem to have any effect...

BPM leaves so much to be desired. They've improved some things in the past three years, but overall there's still so many really basic things wrong with it -_-

October 2017 and this problem still isn't fixed. Videos play 99% in desktop mode and very rarely in big picture mode. Happens on every machine I own and on multiple networks.
