Switching from windows to linux, how do I get my games to transfer
I had everything set up on windows, but I have switched to linux. I guess steam just sees this as a second computer. how do I download my games to my linux account?

You open Steam, doubleclick on the game you want to download in your library view and it's done. Same as in Windows Steam.

Then it is. Go play on Windows or tool around with Wine.
Only a couple of your games will work. Examples are TF2 and MW3. The rest are going to be windows versions that won't work on Linux.
Stick with Windows if you want to play games. It will be easier for you.
Ok I did some searching and i think I have to install some video drivers first

You can install whatever you want. If a game isn't available for Linux, it isn't available for linux. No driver can change that.
