How do you set your profile to private, but let people add you?

I want people to keep adding me to my friends, but they sadly can't. I've seen some people having that sort of option, and I want to know how it's possible.

You can't control whether people can add you or not. Just make your profile private, add friend button will always be there.

Your profile is private and i just sent you a friend request, so i have no idea what sort of problem other people are having when they try to add you.

Is it like that, there is a person with a profile set to private, so only the profile owner can see it?
I have my profile private only for me and my friends.

If private, only owner can see.

There are various options such as 'Friends only' in which case your friends would be able to see your profile.

However, the 'Add Friend' button will always be there, no matter what setting you put. It's up to you whether you wish to accept it.
