about pishing sites

i got hijack weeks ago and not hoping for my items coming back anymore..

but i want to start all over again yet im having second thoughts because
idk how i was hijack but in my memory i think i accidentally log in to a pishing sites(or only click on it cus im really aware of this)

and im scared that theres a malware/virus on my pc that the hacker can still hack me again..
im not all savvy about pc virus scan etc so im asking

what does pishing site do exactly? does it leave a virus program or something?

sir im basically aware on pishing sites but this is the only possible way they hack me but in my memory its 50-50 that i may have log in on some

im thinking they have force hack me( but idk if thats even possible)
but im going for the pishing site

you logged in to a site that runs steam in an iframe or similar.
they scripted you you were by no means hacked.

the phisher may have used a hack but he was not hacking.

all you have to do is login the phishing site and a script does everything , make trade offers or add friends and sent them a phishing message.

it is all done in your own browser so no steam guard message.

There is a difference between hacking and giving away your information.
And phishing/fishing = you for information. Hacking is more like stealing I quess.

The girl thing, perhaps spoof are getting a little annoyed about the whole sir thing people keep saying?

you are clearly overreacting about the girl thing.. yes i was wrong calling you that but how would i know you were.. and yes i assume your a guy because almost 80% i have encountered only guys on game and not expecting a girl to be here not mentioning that this is a thread about games(which is rarely to see girls as such) nonetheless im sorry

and clearly... i was hack.. even if its pishing sites or whatever.. it is in general that i have not given my information freely( who wouldve thought that with innocent mind logging in to a steam site would know that he/she was already giving out your own password?)

you should base it to a non savvy player's perspective

in their perspective they got hack because of being innocent and not knowing they were trick
they didnt even knew what happened

in your perspective
it was like the player in all knowledge just give his information to a stranger simply as a "gift"

not all players are like you... so basically what your saying is steam wont help because
the account was phished? not hack?

isnt pishing sites designed to hack accounts? so whats the purpose of phishing sites to you then?
