Verify Credit Card??

I want to purchase items for the community store however it says I am unable to... I try and verify my card and it comes up with some "verify amounts" page which I have no idea what to put there. Please can someone help, I hope to get this sort asap? Thanks.

It seems like it may have done some small deposits or withdrawals to your credit card, and wants to ask you to tell Steam what they are, to make sure that you actually own this credit card.

Yeah I thought that was what it is however it asks for two amounts that are different and i've only tried to buy one thing.

There should be some small temporary charges that you did not directly make.

Do you not have online access to a statement from the card. If it is a prepaid card you may need to call the number on the back of it and have them tell you the specific amounts.

I have online access to the card, however no amount was charged from steam

If it doesn't appear in pending charges you may need to do the process again.

Your bank account might not show pending authorizations on their online site. This is not a charge, but a temporary authorization. Not all banks show these to their users by default.

My bank lists pending authorizations as money held and unavailable. It lists them separate from real charges that took money. It lists them as "Funds On Hold"

Obviously this varies by bank, but if you cannot view authorizations or held funds, you need to contact your bank or credit company to figure out how.
