SteamSetup.exe won't even run
I accidentally uninstalled Steam, so I downloaded the setup file once again and for some reason the .exe file won't even run.

I double click the file and it brings up a message box asking if I want to make changes to the computer and it gives me a Yes or No option. I click Yes, and absolutely nothing happens after that.

This is really ticking me off. Please help! My computer can't run .exe files anymore! I'm using a Toshiba Windows 8 laptop. Again, please help me out.

I know this is an old post but I had the same problem and just fixed it so hopefully I can help someone, either you or another person searching the forums.

Right click on SteamSetup.exe
Left click on properties
At the bottom of the "General" tab, under attributes, my computer had it set as dangerous and I had to click a box that said "unblock"

Hopefully that helps someone.
