why does my SSD take so much time to download games?
I just got an hard disk for my birthday, for the fact that my pc didn't have much space. But now that I started using it I noticed that it takes way to much to download games, in fact i tried downloading titanfall 2 and it took 2 hours and a half... and it didn't even finish, it was not even at the half... so please can someone help me??

thats an internet speed issue, not an ssd read/write issue

you think so? my internet isn't that bad, and when i used to download things before the SSD, i didn't have any problems

How much space is left on the drive, and how big is the game? No, I'm not going to look up the latter myself.

i have 20 gb left on the drive and titanfall 2 is 60 gb big

That's a joke, right? HOW would you even think that fits on there? Rule of thumb, you need AT LEAST twice the size of the game you want to install. Besides there should ALWAYS be a certain amount of space free for drive operations.

you said that the game can't fit on my computer, and i know that . in fact i wanted to install it on the SSD because it fits there

Do you get the choise to install it at right drev. ( you only get the offer if drev is added as a steamlibrary. same goes with transfer game from one drev to other. )

Feel free to try move a game to other drev so you get more free space at first drev.

hmm could you have a write behind cache issue at SSD drev's see windows device manger at SSD drev's and properties at option 2 turn it off.

ps.
other issue Laptop not in Full performance will suffer a lack of juice then disk near full at boot disk where OS is.

its one of them, old knowledge from the past do not use all space.
