steam game recording sound delay when clips are exported

when i record a clip of my gameplay and export it into my pc as a video file, the audio sounds very delayed. theres atleast a second of delay. but when i play it back through steam, the delay is not present. ive tried changing the GPU accelerated encoding setting, tried changing the bitrate, the resolution and have also tried changing the audio recording settings. tried all of em. why does this keep happening?

I don't know but when I'm playing the recorded video on steam my sound comes first, like a half a second before the actions show on the screen. So there is some sort of calibration or lag between the video and sound.

So make sure you don't have any other programs doing any recording, like Nvidia in game overlay. Once I exited out of Nvidia in game overlay it fixed the sound lag issue. Hope this helps!
