NVME works fine in Windows 11 but have to manually add in Steam every time

Hi. I have an NVME drive. Windows 11 can see it. There's no problem., I can go to settings, storage, and add the drive. I've installed games from Steam into this NVME drive. The problem is, when I quit Steam and go back in, it has forgotten the drive exists and I have to manually add it again. Every time.

Does anyone have a solution for when Steam refuses to remember a drive?

No, internal Western Digital SN770 1TB. Windows sees it, even the bios sees it. It's just Steam.
