Steam VR Help
Okay, I'm trying again. I followed the guidelines and posted this before and it did NOT show up.
I desperately need help with this issue.

I have a game that can use VR. I don't have my headset plugged in and Steam VR always keeps starting when I really don't want it to.

I've tried every method that you can Google to stop this and NONE of them actually work. Including the one where you go into Steam VR from the tool tray and click Developer Settings and then set something to Never. That method is at least 7 years old. The system reverts to the previous setting and negates what you want.

The only other option would require me to do something I refuse to do. That would be to add yet another superfluous program to my computer taking up valuable memory for only one purpose.

Something that actually works would be nice.

I've been looking around everywhere I can think. I'll take another look to be safe. but I'm not getting much of a response from anyone on anything. I've even tried contacting support.
