Pink pixel!!
Hi need some help in understanding this.
I'm on my third monitor in less than a month.
Bought the first one from gigabyte and after a few hours of playing noticed a pink pixel refounded the monitor and ordered the same again.
Got it and next day after playing with it a while noticed again a green pixel.
Refounded and ordered another one from asus got it today did the check for dead or stuck pixel's and nothing.
After playing for 2/3 hours noticed a pink pixel on the screen.
All of the dead or stuck pixel's where on different places.
Tried everything to see if it goes away but nothing.
Is it a dead or stuck pixel?
Is something I'm doing to get the same issue with 3 different monitors?

If this was simple screen burn-in you'd see an outline of a shape in a group of pixels, not individual pixels separately going bad. It might be a manufacturing defect in the monitor(perhaps a whole bactch of them is bad and will fail this way). Try a Samsung?
And if it does the same maybe its something NEAR your monitor thats messing it up(wifi router sitting right behind it?). But I think there aren't too many very strong electrical fields common near computer desks powerful enough to mess up electronics. I figure those pixels were just made bad and the crummy workmanship has been revealed. Try ANY different brand.

I doubt its from your game, but what game was it?
Also I don't know if there are any ways in Windows to get a particular pixel stuck on purpose(if there is a virus) but you never know these days.

It was through amazon.
This one is basically on thr middle of the screen.
And it's pink so u can see it pretty much of the time.
I get annoyed because 3 different monitors in a month and all with the same problem.
The resolution is 1440p.
If it is still there after a few day I will just refound it and keep my old one.
The old one 1080p once in a while appears a stuck pixel but just with a small tap on it and goes back to normal.
But this one until now nothing works.
Paying so much money for faulty things -.-

I play quite a few different games.
I don't have nothing behind the monitor.
And don't think that it's because of a virus but tomorrow can try and plug my laptop on it and see if the same thing happens.
For now I'm leaving it on jscreenfix during the night.
And will unplug it during the day while at work.
And then try and see if it is been solved if still there I will ask for a refound and change to the old one 1080p for a while.
And then try to se if I find another one on other place.

Dead Pixel are black. Stuck Pixel are a solid color.
Also i think legally up to 5 or so dead/stuck pixel on a monitor are considered to be "acceptable" and dont warrant a refund. Of course Amazon and the like will still take it back so thats a plus.

Too many refunds will get your account banned and locked on Amazon - OP needs to proceed with caution.

So why doesn't go back to normal if it is a stuck pixel?!
The other 2 didn't go back too.
And the second got a green and then a few days ago got a completely balck one.
But this one just got it today and few hours after playing get a pink pixel.
Will give it a few days and see.

I go to the costumer service and let them know why I'm refounding .
Don't usually refound things.

I try my best, Captain.

ASUS monitors (and perhaps ACER or any low-budget brand) I can tell you has pixel issues sometimes but not all the time because they usually get their monitors from DELL and HP on bulk discount which could not initially pass each brands QC standards. :chirp:
