Accidentally opening Big Picture Mode FIX!
It is a common problem to accidentally Big Picture Mode. There are many "solutions" to this telling you how to exit Big Picture Mode, but I am going to give you the simplest way to make sure you don't keep doing this by accident.

All internet browsers and file explorers have 3 identical buttons in the top right corner. _, [ ] and x

If you look closely on all other browsers are exactly the same size so when you are trying to minimize multiple full screen windows you are able to do so without moving your mouse because you are clicking in the exact same place. However, the steam browser does not conform to the same button size. These buttons are slightly smaller on steam, pushing them all over slightly to the right. And then they have the Big Picture Mode button just to the left of the _ (minimize) button.

99% of the time THIS is why you are entering Big Picture Mode by accident in the first place. Because with full windows, you are intending to minimize other windows and accidentally click on Big Picture Mode when attempting to minimize Steam.

To avoid this simply never ever use Steam in full screen. Always use a downsized window of steam. This will ensure that the Big Picture Mode button is never aligned with the minimize button on other browsers.

I hope this helps someone out there. It took me longer than I'm willing to admit to figure this out.
