What The Hell is "Error 5" And Why Can't I Change My Account's Email

I want to change my email, but I can't. I can't send a verification code to the old email because I don't have access to it, and when I try and input my account's password all I get is "Could not process that blah blah blah 'Error 5'". How do I fix this?
