Where do I get the activation key for The Crew 2?

I purchased The Crew 2 during the sale period. After installing Ubisoft Connect is asking for a product key to launch the game however, I have not received any product key. I looked in my Steam Account for the activation key but none is mentioned. How do I get the activation/product key?

Ubisoft games on Steam have not used keys in years. What you need to do is to create a Ubisoft account and then install the newest release version of Ubisoft Connect.
Then start the game on Steam and it will tell you to log into your Ubisoft account and asks if you want to link your Steam account to that Ubisoft account to register the game.
And thats it.
