STEAM Date Format Changed to mm/dd/yyyy
Yo, so STEAM's date format just changed all of a sudden on my machine from dd/mm/yyyy to mm/dd/yyyy. This is annoying and I'm unsure why this has changed. Is there a way to change this back or is it something that's been changed with a recent update to STEAM I need to wait for a fix on?

Check https://store.steampowered.com/account/
Make sure its set to your country
Happening to me as well, wishlist date format has changed to mm/dd/yyyy, account region UK
I thought i was going crazy and it was just me, same issue with me on my wishlist, UK region, whats more, its showing me old video anime i had wishlisted, but Steam had already stopped selling the shows, and the video player on that no longer works i believe. Something is bugged on Steam's end no doubt, was thinking on buying a game while it was on sale, but i don't want any issues. So i'll wait for more info or other updates.

It's also resetting my wishlist filter now too. I had it set to default as sorted by discounts but now it just goes to the steam default of showing you random stuff on your list.

I checked my account as you suggested and it's set correctly to my country, but it still displays this backwards date format.
There really needs to be an option to change this, it's really not that hard to do.
Has anyone been able to fix it?
I can't stand this date format...

UK here as well, but dates are shown in this dumb US format. If it was in ISO format, I wouldn't mind so much (actually, it does make more sense).
Same here and my region is set to Poland. It's even more dumb given that the release date on products' store page has a correct format (dd, mm, yy) and this only affects the wishlist :/

It affects chats too. A weird thing happened the other day where a message I sent that day was showing as being sent the previous day.
Same here. Region Portugal but still changed to mm/dd/yyyy a few weeks ago.
Any solution?

Changing Steam's language preferences to my native one (polish instead of english) helped. My client's language is still set to english but the language preferences in my account's setting are set to polish (as primary language) and english (as a secondary).

It seems to only translate the text/UI part of the store while the remaining tabs are in english (client's language)

This is still an issue. With both the OS and Browser locales set to English (UK), which uses dd/mm/yyyy, and my Steam account's region being one that also uses dd/mm/yyyy, dates are still formatted in mm/dd/yyyy, possibly because Valve thinks only America uses english so they hardcode the formatting instead of using a more sensible toLocaleDateString
To fix this, try these steps:
Check Regional Settings on Steam:

Go to Steam Settings (click the Steam menu at the top-left corner and select Settings).
Click on the Interface tab.
Look for the option under Date Format or Region Settings and see if there's an option to change the display.
Adjust Windows Regional Settings:

Open Control Panel on your PC.
Go to Clock and Region > Region.
Under the Formats tab, select your desired region (make sure it’s set to the correct country or region that uses your preferred date format).
Click Apply.
Check for Steam Updates: Sometimes, issues like this are resolved through updates. Make sure Steam is up-to-date by restarting the app and checking for any updates.

If the issue persists, you may need to wait for Steam to address the change, especially if it's a recent bug or unintended alteration. Hopefully, they'll release a fix soon!

If my suggestions were helpful, I’d appreciate your support!:luv:

There are nothing in the steam settings to change this, yes I checked them all.
The only thing even remotely related to region in the interface tap ad the steam language and 12/24 hour clock setting.
The only regional setting in any of the steam settings are the download region, which has nothing to do with date format setting.

My computer region in the control panel is set to the correct region and date format.

This change has been done on steam/valves end, and there is nothing we can do on the user end.
Seeing as Valve is located in the US which mainly uses the mm/dd/yyyy date format, it stands to reason that this is not a bug or unintended alteration that needs fixing, but rather an intentional change made by Valve.
