Someone signed up for Steam account using my email address - how do I change it?
Because of the way gmail email addresses, my.example@gmail.com and myexample@gmail.com resolves to the same email address. In my case, I own the email address with gmail and have my own Steam account associated with it. However, someone else used a variant of that email address that resolves to the one I own and created a separate Steam account. Now I get email notifications every time that person signs in from a different computer, for example.

I do not want to block emails coming from Steam because those emails might legitimately be for me for my Steam account. How can I contact Steam to get them to change the email address on this other person's Steam profile so I no longer get emails intended for them?

Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Click the option that seems most relevant until you get a text box.

Alternatively, since this is definitely related to account data, here's a link directly to that form:

Someone setting their account's unverified email address to another person's name does not mean that they have access to that person's email account. There's no evidence of a breach.

I imagine what happened here is very similar to this comic: https://xkcd.com/1279/
