Steam Detects my Mic but I can't be heard in game
Recently I started playing on my computer again and I noticed a problem and it's that for some reason I can't be heard in any game I play? I go onto my steam settings and mess with it and it doesn't work. what's odd is that when I test out microphone on steam it detects my mic perfectly fine, same with any other application off of steam like Discord and eve my PC settings can detect audio from my mic.

I've tried anything I could but I could not fix my issue. Here's some extra information that MIGHT help solve this (though I'm not sure if it's needed.):

I've only now been using my PC for a week, I haven't really touched it in about a year, but everything is still up to date.
when I used to play about a year ago, that was when everything was alright and I was able to be heard.
my mic is connected to headphones which are wired. (it has 2 headphone jacks specifically for Mic and Audio)
I got my PC with my headphones (I believe the brand is called Hornet?)

I apologize if this is formatted weirdly, this is the first time I've written on steam discussion and one of my last resorts, If i could have some assistance then It'd be greatly Appreciated, thank you.

A headset with mic should be found in the playback devices set as default
when connected.
