Need Help: Moving Games from PC to Laptop Without Redownloading

Hey everyone,

I’m trying to transfer some of my games from my PC to my new laptop without re-downloading them. After doing some research, I found out that it’s possible to backup and restore games.

I backed up the games to an external SSD, but when I tried to use the restore option on my laptop, it automatically triggers a new download.

Is there a specific method or steps I should follow to successfully restore the games without having to re-download them?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Read steam LAN Transfeer guide.

Could save you alot of time with the new way to do things on steam.
then you get it you wont do all them task anymore, or should i said waste time on backup, if you have multi pc.
