Can I login and play games on steam, while another computer is downloading game?
I have a computer at work I'm loading a bunch of steam games onto, the internet here is pretty slow and it needs to sit like overnight to download the few games I want on it (things like jackbox for team building). If I go home and login to my steam account, is that going to punt my work computer and halt the downloads???

I know I can only play games on 1 PC at a time, and that's totally fine, I'm just hoping turning on steam at home doesn't stop my downloads.

As far as I know, playing a game at home will not have any effect on the download at work. However, many games will ask for you to agree to their EULA during installation. This will bring the whole process to a halt. So you might need to setup some type of remote desktop, assuming this is permitted at your workplace. Be aware that there are other issues such as may arise from leaving your account open where others have access to your account. Also note that strictly speaking, Steam does not allow sharing of the account with others.
