WHY IS STEAM DOWNLOAD SO F*CKING LONG?!?!

Steam is the only launcher where my download speed is max 5 mt/s and randomly goes to zero. In any other launcher my download speed is 55 mt/s constanly. Why is steam so ass?

Could it be possible that u have activated a download speed limiter? Could check under «steam settings - downloads» and see if there is a limit on download speeds.

Sounds more like OP own SSD write behind cache issue.

It look like fetching alot of data but cant process it faster enough, and her pc told server i can't keep up.

Check windows device manager on the hardsidk and make the change in option 2 to disable.

If you're using a SSD then try disabling write cache for it when downloading from Steam.

Steam downloads in compressed chunks, once a chunk is down it gets decompressed and installed. If the CPU and/or drive is at or near 100% the DL will slow and may even stop until the decompress and install is complete.

Open Task manager and see what CPU and the Drives usage % is at when this happens
