Steamwebhelper not responding - Whisky Emulator

Hi there, I have been using an emulator called Whisky to load windows steam games on my M1 MacBook Air. Until today, it has been working just fine, successfully opening Steam and my windows game. However, when I tried loading it today, it got stuck in the 'Steamwebhelper not responding' page, with the options of Restart Steam, Restart Steam with GPU Acceleration Disabled, Restart Steam with Browser Sandboxing Disabled, Restart steamwebhelper, and Exit Steam. None of these helps opening the Steam App. I've also tried reinstalling Steam with the newest version on the website. Anyone have solutions to this?

I have been going back and forth with Steam support, and they are taking the bully approach by stating its not their problem, and that Steam on mac needs to use the macOS steam app. They state they don't provide support for those using third party software such as whisky to run their products.

Valve could just make it simple by creating a macOS app that takes advantage of apple silicon and allow their games they sell to be cross platform.

Not going to happend ever. ( even mac has ende alot of system and lifecycle is over. )
Steam is not going to fix other Brands own OS issue.

You have 2 option MacOS and game devs own support for mac.
steam do not support emulated apps, you signed this or it was mention in Eula, i know i have read it somewhere.

No. Hopefully it gets fixed very soon but its probably low priority if any priority at all

Ok so it turns out the later versions of crossover now work. Essentially there has just been dropped support for older versions of wine which crossover 22 ran on but not the current 24 version.

This is such a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ corporate thing. They made a very well functioning, community driven project such as the wine project not work with Steam anymore for no valid reason

I got it working now in my macbook air m2 15, by updating my whisky to the latest release

Downgrade:
run steam.exe with args:
-forcesteamupdate -forcepackagedownload -overridepackageurl http://web.archive.org/web/20240520if_/media.steampowered.com/client -exitsteam

And now, run steam.exe with args:

-noverifyfiles -nobootstrapupdate -skipinitialbootstrap -norepairfiles -overridepackageurl
