If you damaged the code and can't read it, take it back to where you bought and see if they will refund or exchange it.
and FFS try a Magnify glass also , even mobil/tablet has camara with zoom, there is alot of ways that sometimes work with geting zoom functions one way or other.
yes i know it sould like a joke play sheloc homlens, but other steam user can tell you it might work sometimes.

I don't even know how people always manage to scratch off the numbers of the code aswell. It comes of so easily, you barely have to do any scratching and doing that, it is impossible to damage the codes...
As previously mentioned, Steam can't activate these codes because we have no access to the activation systems used by retailers. We also can't issue replacements, because we do not distribute the Wallet codes ourselves. The seller is your best resource for assistance.
