Store video volume settings?

Starting steam and selecting a game starts a trailer, if it's available, automatically, but it's always muted. I don't see and options to control this in Steam Settings. Is there a registry edit I can make so the videos start with sound?

have you worked it out yet? Mine is starting muted too and its very annoying!

Mine start at the volume I set it to.

When you unmute sound, do you untick the mute box or do you drag the volume slider?

Try doing one and the other and see if that has any impact. It is supposed to remember your last setting based on however you left the volume slider on the last video you watched.

the OP talk about reboot pc or steam client then it goes mute always.

could OP explan it better, sure but again its detail then what is normal for him , and not other then they always are online or dont restart pc/steam.

I accidentally fixed mine - I had to change some audio settings in Windows and next time I rebooted my video played as normal again. Sorry I couldnt be more precise but I wasnt expecting it to be something outside of Steam when only Steam videos werent working properly
