Failed to create account: 24 (This account is banned from creating game server login tokens) when I am not banned on this account!

Hello,

So I recently got banned on my main for using a !knife plugin from creating server tokens (I was unaware of this stupid rule). However I decided to delete the knife plugin and use this account to create some tokens. Unfortunately I got this error:

Failed to create account: 24 (This account is banned from creating game server login tokens)

I am currently not banned on this account. So I don't know why I can't create any new tokens. Anyone know what the problem is?

For Server Tokens Steams ban is a bit more extensive. The ban extends to your IP address (and all accounts associated with it) not just an individual account in order to prevent you doing just what you are trying to do (creating a new account to create a server).

That is the most retarded thing I have ever heard. I mean honestly I don't understand Valve sometimes.

Well it makes perfect sense. They have decided that you the person (not a given account) cannot be trusted to make servers for Valve games. As a result they have removed this ability from you the person not from a given account.
