I want to switch from Intel Hd Graphics into an actual video card, but it's in the processor.
Specs:

CPU: Intel(R) Pentium(R) N3540 2.16 ghz with Intel HD Graphics 1000 (overclocked to 2.66 ghz)

RAM: 4GB DDR3 (upgraded to 8GB RAM)

My Computer: HP Notebook 15 f272wm

Dedicated VRAM: 64 MB even though I upgraded to 8 GB RAM. I thought integrated graphics borrowed ram, but my Intel HD 1000 wont borrow more, so I'm stuck at 64 MB.

Motherboard: HP 233F

Chipset: Intel - Bay Trail Host Bridge

Yeah I know, my computer is underpowered, so that's why I need some help upgraded this hunk of junk that is Intel HD 1000. I tried my BIOS to increase dedicated VRAM manually, but all I saw were specs.

Laptops aren't really good for gaming. Better off getting a proper PC.

That's not true. Laptops can be as great for gaming as desktops.

Anyway, I just want a solid answer. If you're gonna say my specs are bad, get out of my discussion
.

the highest end laptop wont beat the highest end desktop
also the igpu uses ram as it needs it and i highly doubt that you can install a gpu in that system

Whatever. I just need an answer. I'm really struggling and frustrated. I'm not in the situation where I can upgrade my laptop whenever.

You've got an integrated graphics chip. Your specs are bad. RAM is alright though.

Listen, I KNOW, I stated that I know my specs are bad, did you read what I said at the top? Now please, enough with the bad specs thing, I just want to know do I have to completely replace my processor? Is there somewhere in the motherboard where I can install a GPU?

You can't upgrade the vram, it is what it is. You'd need to upgrade to a dedicated gpu to increase the video ram, which your laptop most likely can't do.

I expected my Intel HD to borrow more RAM, so that's why I bought 8 GB of RAM.

no and no most laptops are made only to allow you to replace ram and hdd/ssd they are not upgradeable like desktops are

How? I don't want to ruin my laptop. I did lots of searching, going through forums.

I didn't expect my laptop to be this bad.

Alright. Thank you for an answer, I appreciate it. My laptop never stated it was upgradable, so now I need a new one.
