All of my uplay games (bought on steam) is lagging
AC IV Black Flag
AC IV Freedom Cry
Far Cry 3
8fps-20fps

All other games are working fine like gta v, csgo, etc.
=>Notable things that happened before it lagged.
> I had 24GB of system pagefile which I reset to system controlled (4gb is the system default)
> I recently installed Razer Cortex which is currently closed and not running
> My internet connection broke and is running only at 80kbps up and down
> Disabled razer surround
> Deleted and uninstalled 100GB of junk files
>Accepted the new uplay service terms and agreement and privacy policy

that cpu is utter trash thats why, all those games are VERY cpu intensive

I have AC Rogue on retail disc which I downloaded a crack to disable uplay (since it broke my 50% sync save) and it runs fine. I had to crack so i can manually copy saves

I was running the game at 60FPS with physx a few days ago and I doubt far cry 3 is cpu intensive

im sorry but that cpu really is dreadful you REALLY want to upgrade to something like the i5 4690k you are bottlenecking your gpu thats why some demanding games work fine if its gpu intensive and light on the cpu it will be fine but on a game like ac 4 which will make any cpu work hard you will have problems
Alexalmighty Jan 29, 2016 @ 5:38pm
also what cpu cooler do you have?

I got an old corsair H80 and temps are not that high since the oc is pretty low. GTA V runs fine and its heavily cpu instensive compared to these games.

Note: the 8-20 fps starts on the menu up to the game. I doubt the cpu will cause 8fps on the menu

ac4 is not optimised what so ever so it will perform much worse than gta 5

and my post above saying the ac rogue without uplay runs fine and its the same engine as ac iv

the engine had modifications to it after unity they really wanted to make sure it performs well

No I was playing AC IV and Far Cry 3 at 100 fps 2 days ago. the problem was just now after i did the list. I undid everything except the uplay agreement patch and it still lags

FIXED: After a lot of game and uplay reinstalls I found out the problem was the in-game uplay overlay. Disabled it and the game was running smoothly, hope ubisoft fixes this. (Happened after the 26MB uplay patch).
