Buy DLC and activate with Uplay (Rainbow Six Siege)
I have Rainbow Six Siege, and I love it, hoping to buy the Season Pass (I know, I know). However, I have it on Uplay, not steam. Is there a way to buy the season pass on steam and use that code in Uplay?

I would buy it on Uplay, but it works in Euro. The conversion rate from Rand to Euro is terrible, so I need an alternative.

Is it possible to get the key code from Steam and use it in Uplay?

Taken directly from storepage on Steam.

Downloadable Content
This content requires the base game Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six® Siege on Steam in order to play.

Is it even possible to buy DLC for a game you do not have on Steam?

Edit:
No, not possible.

You can purchase DLC for a game you don't own, but only as a giftable copy. You will not be able to redeem that gitable copy if you do not own the base game.

Steam does not give product/cd keys.

That was what I suspected, you can't buy DLC for yourself if you do not own the game.

You get the product-keys when you install a Uplaytitle on steam, so you can activate it on Uplay.

In short: No, you cannot. You can't buy and activate DLC on Steam Store for games you don't own on Steam.

Even if your friend activated the DLC on his Steam -account and gave you the CD-key to activate on your Uplay account, it wouldn't work.

So many people in the past who've bought Ubisoft games on Steam, then sold the Uplay -key, only for the buyer to get burned because the Uplay client would redirect them to the Steam Store -front for not owning the game on Steam.

I'd imagine the DLC is not any different. Steam Store bought Ubisoft games use both Steam and Uplay as the DRM.

i.e. Rainbow Six Siege:

Of course you are allowed to play Rainbow Six Siege. But the thread you're posting in has nothing to do with your personal issue.

Open the Steam Library, rightclick the game entry and select "View CD Key". Enter that in Uplay.
